Our support coordinators are here today to ensure you are utilising your NDIS plan to its full potential.

What a support coordinator can help with (participant version):
Plan implementation- By helping you and your family understand how you can utilise the NDIS funding, connecting you with options for service providers that align with your goals.
Forward planning- knowing the NDIA system is an important part of analysing the current funding allocation and preparing to have enough evidence to support a plan variation well before the funding has been overutilised.
Connecting you with service providers and managing the schedules of support, to ensure that there is suffient funding in that category for all provider drawing from it.
Problem solving- support coordinators can be a bridge between providers and the participant to ensure open communication and your satisfaction with the service.
Collaboration between all service providers- a support coordinator can arrange for stakeholder meetings to occur as regularly as needed, for all professionals to collaborate on therapy plans, goals and challenges.
Advocacy support- while a support coordiantor can not be a formal advocate in the tribunal process, they can attend planning meetings to support in those situations to navigate the system in the way of funding or complaints to the NDIA. Additionally, support coordinators can escalate requests to the NDIA to support a faster decision for things like plan variations and AT requests.
Crisis management, working closely with you and your family can mean that a support coordinator may be more accessible in a crisis and able to provide necessarry resources and assitance to navigate these situations and provide updates to service providers.
